Why Gasoline (Petrol) anyway?
Cars and trucks need fuel, or they don't go anywhere. Without an ENERGY source, we get no POWER! The oil deposits in our world are enough to last for a L O N G time, but it must be found, pumped, shipped, refined, blended and, then, trucked to your filling station. These blends are different for various locations and different sets of regulations. A huge difference was made in the 1930's when the oil companies decided to PREVENT certain technologies from working to save gas for the average consumer by CHANGING the gas formula! This meant the extraordinary inventions of the day would no longer work the same.
We are trying to have an impact, and it may be that Hydrogen On Demand is the answer. Does your car or truck need a little or a lot of gas? Some use a lot, but don't seem to do much with it - that is a shame. Some use a little, go far, but can only take a couple of people, and a little stuff with them. Either way, these vehicles need a specific kind of fuel to run, and it has to do certain things, and have certain properties. A small change, and they don't run well. A little more change, and they hardly run at all. This is because of changes in the machines themselves, and relates to the changes in the fuel formulations mentioned above.

Lately, on the News, I have heard about people trading in their Gas Guzzlers at such a rate that the Used Car Lots haven't the room for them. What is happening here?
This is starting to remind me of the Mid 70's all over again. It would have been nice to have some alternative fuels, like Water4gas, available back then. Bad matters just seemed to get worse for a while there. I hope we don't return to the days of long lines at the pumps, people running out while in line, and having to push their car to the pump, waiting for a couple of hours only to find out that the station ran out just as you got there, and so on. If you don't remember those times, I hope you only learn of them in history lessons.
What about gas rationing like during WWII? It makes me shudder to think of us facing this, but isn't that what we are talking about? We are discussing supply and demand; what if the supply cannot keep up with the demand? What would you do if you were forced to use half the gas you use now? The oil companies like that you may spend more money to buy half as much of their product! They would like that just fine.
